Good to the Last Drop!

I told Roberto that I was going to put this picture on the net. I also said that it looked like he was milking a cow to get the last drop of milk (or in this case, concrete). We came this close to finishing the job. However, Roberto was able to get enough from the upper section, in front of the church, to do that last little bit.

Firstfruits

Romans 16:5 Likewise greet ... Emerson, who is the firstfruits of (our seedsowing ministry in Jardim Europa).... Well, this isn't exactly what Paul said in Romans 16:5 but it expressed my sentiments as I asked Emerson if he had accepted Christ as his Savior and he said, "Pastor, I prayed and asked Jesus to forgive my sins and come into my life." Praise the Lord with us! Emerson has become the "firstfruits" of our Tuesday seedsowing ministry and he his store is very near our house. He has been doing studies for the past couple of weeks and came to Christ just a couple of days ago. We're excited to see what God has in store for him.

CONSTRUCTION!

Our construction project has begun. Roberto is really working hard to complete the job within a week. We've see four pillars go up in just two and a half days. Below are some pix of the work. No Roberto didn't kill Luciano. Though at times I'm sure that has entered his mind. He was just hamming it up for the pic. This is how we started. I was digging to China when in reality I didn't need to. The next step was to dig the footings for the columns. Then came the juryrigged extentions for the columns, which will for the most part be underground. And this is a first look at the columns.

Reaching Our Jerusalem!

We had a good group of people out Sunday morning and evening. We had one family who was visiting because they recently moved from São Paulo. They are a real answer to prayer (if they end up coming our way). It is a husband, wife, with three little boys! A "normal" family! They are looking for a place to minister. Praise the Lord I know just the place. Ronaldo asked me to pray for God's will. And I did "Father, send them our way!" I preached from Nehemiah and encouraged our people to get to work this week as we try to saturate our neighborhood with the Gospel. We´ve printed a map and will be trying to pass out hundreds of tracts over the next few weeks. Pray for us. Mike
