From the Cyber!

I am at a little dingy cypbercafe, typing this note on a keyboard that sticks so bad I have to double click on the spacebar so as not to misspell everyother word. But, finally it looks as if Gabriel is going to enter the land of the living.

We thought that he might be here for my and Ann's birthday. Then it was, the fourth of July, then July 9th (Annie and Jack's wedding anniversary). But as God would have it he will be born soon (either the 16th or early on the 17th). I was reading Psalm 139 just this morning about how that God has planned out our lives from the very beginning! He knows every step that we take and is very concerned with all of the details. Praise His holy Name! I gladly place Gabriel's future in Jehovah's mighty hand. Protect him Father and bring him soon into your family!

God Made Clothes

And the Lord God made for Adam and for his wife garments of skins and clothed them. Gen 3:21 I have always heard the following explanation of this verse.  Because Adam and Eve had sinned, they died spiritually. They also lost the right to be in the Garden of Eden and were cursed in other ways. For example, they had made clothes out of fig leaves, but God sacrificed a lamb; thus, God shed blood and made clothes. This sacrifice of an innocent lamb symbolized what Jesus Christ would do in the distant future.  Is this what you have heard? I don't know; it seems like this interpretation is stretching what Moses wrote in the above text. The text says that  God made clothes for Adam and his wife from skins.  We see no blood, we don't know what kind of skins, nor can I imagine God making an animal sacrifice. Life goes On

 IN the next 24hrs GOD Will Surprise You Financially. If you believe, type: YES. I saw this silliness in a Facebook feed just moments before my mission contacted me to tell me that my account is in the RED! I laughed out loud!  Those posts are made to help us see how ridiculous we are when we click on them or send an AMEN! I hope that you don't. So many somehow believe that God is a gene type that will spring from the bottle when we press our praying hands emoji together and send us just enough money to prove that he has everything under control.  Job was a just man that proved that Facebook can be wrong now and again. He did all things well and lost everything. He was left muttering and sputtering along with his cheesy friends for most of his epic poem book.  Life happens, and we don't know why God does much of what he does. What Are You Worth?

What are you Worth?  Have you ever thought about what you are worth? In investing circles there is a term used to gauge this exact question, it's called Net Worth. You take all of your assets, like property owned, funds in your bank account, clothes, jewelry, car, etc.. You total all of these things. You then take everything you owe, like mortgage, car loan, and credit card debt, and you subtract these items from the first total. This gives you your net worth. That number represents where you are financially. Most people never stop to think about this number because they don't understand anything about it. They never have two nickels to rub together. They live from hand to mouth and know (or at least believe) nothing will ever change so, they fall into the "daily grind" mentality. Psalm 49 should be a great encouragement to such as these.
